Podcasts and Collaboration Services

This is the TMSTEC podcast server site. MSP, AP and STEM workshops can link to podcasts created by Math, Science, TMSTEC, TNASAERC, and Pedagogy workgroups. The podcasts can be viewed on your computer, ipod, pda and iphone. Live video and audio podcasts can be created from the TMSTEC computer lab and other workshop classrooms. PowerPoint presentations with voiceover can be captured and saved as a podcast during class or later from the office. Class notes, audio, video files can be uploaded and shared with workgroup participants.

Wiki and Blog pages can be created similar to making a word document. Group contributers click on the pencil icon in the toolbar and start typing. There is even a spell check. Images, audio and video files can be inserted. There are text editing and form creation tools in the toolbar. For the bold, HTML and CSS can be add to the document for extra styling and presentation.

A podcast player such as QuickTime and Realplayer is required to play audio and video podcasts. QuickTime is a FREE podcast player for TMSTEC podcasts. iTunes is a FREE podcast player and organizer. iTunes includes QuickTime and automatically installs QuickTime with the download.
